Shockwave Therapy

Non-invasive extracorporeal shockwave therapy for chronic tendinopathies and calcifications.

How Does Shockwave Work?

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) uses high-energy acoustic waves focused on affected tissue. These waves stimulate circulation, accelerate regeneration and break down calcifications.

Indications

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Calcifying shoulder tendinitis
  • Chronic Achilles tendinopathy
  • Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
  • Patellar tendinopathy (jumper's knee)
  • Trochanteric bursitis / gluteal tendinopathy
  • Myofascial pain syndrome

Advantages of Shockwave Therapy

  • Non-invasive procedure without anesthesia
  • High efficacy for chronic tendinopathies
  • Short treatment time (15–20 minutes)
  • No rest period required after treatment
  • Long-lasting effects

Treatment Protocol

Standard protocol involves 3–5 sessions spaced one week apart. Effects are usually felt after 2–3 treatments with progressive improvement over subsequent weeks.
