Shockwave Therapy
Non-invasive extracorporeal shockwave therapy for chronic tendinopathies and calcifications.
How Does Shockwave Work?
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) uses high-energy acoustic waves focused on affected tissue. These waves stimulate circulation, accelerate regeneration and break down calcifications.
Indications
- Plantar fasciitis
- Calcifying shoulder tendinitis
- Chronic Achilles tendinopathy
- Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
- Patellar tendinopathy (jumper's knee)
- Trochanteric bursitis / gluteal tendinopathy
- Myofascial pain syndrome
Advantages of Shockwave Therapy
- Non-invasive procedure without anesthesia
- High efficacy for chronic tendinopathies
- Short treatment time (15–20 minutes)
- No rest period required after treatment
- Long-lasting effects
Treatment Protocol
Standard protocol involves 3–5 sessions spaced one week apart. Effects are usually felt after 2–3 treatments with progressive improvement over subsequent weeks.
